It's not just running. It's anyone with good cardio fitness. I'm sure crossfit bros have a good resting HR. When I'm in shape, sub 50 is easy. My "walking around" HR is usually in the low 70's. I rarely take my true resting HR though. Never have a monitor on at that time.

Resting 42 - 45
Age 28

Gets as low as 38 while sleeping


5 mile runs five days a week
