as a general rule, most tort reform ideas are attacked by both (at least behind closed doors). defense attorneys rely on litigation as much as plaintiff attorneys. if the lawsuits dry up, they lose their industry, too (lots of TX defense attorneys i know talk about this)

ok man, I give up.
Lets get to reality though, any gov you get is probably going to be a lawyer, the house and the senate are full of them, it is not going to happen.
