I worked at a dog daycare as a part time job a while ago. I found that the pit bulls were always really kind and even gentle towards people / employees... but they were always getting in fights with other dogs way more than any other type of breed.

It is sad because that's what they were often bred to do.

Yep. The biggest concern with raising them is animal aggression. Heavy socialization is very important.
