Why would it be a bad idea? The twitch community is massive and its not like anybody is going to stop watching real basketball because of this when 99% of fans won't know it exists.

The Twitch community is massive centered around anything but sports games, NBA 2K is not even in the top 20 on twitch for viewers. That's why.

The feeling is mostly mutual in those communities, big eSports fans and players and their communities dislike "real" sports the same way people that like real sports hate eSports.

You will find Madden, NBA 2K, and even FIFA buried behind a ton of games on Twitch with very little viewership.

Yeah because there's no fricking financial backing like there is for games like CS:GO, Overwatch or any of 1000 MOBAs. That changes with this move.

You're a fricking idiot if you actually believe this. What percentage of millenials plays video games? Pretty much 100%. What percentage watches sports on TV? The same percentage as the generation ahead of them. If you don't think there's a large market for pro videogaming in the sports genre then you really don't understand where this market is heading.
