I'm guessing it's because he's innocent until proven guilty, although we all make assumptions based on accusations and perception.

It's kind of a dangerous thing if you think about it because that practice could/would make authoritative corruption easily accepted. *That is not what I think is going on with this situation though*

But it would be crazy to think that *if* he is proven innocent of all accusations, they have completely wrecked his business and life. Even if his name is cleared, no one will remember or hear about that. Everyone will remember the accusations and their emotions to the hearing of the initial report. Could he potentially attack the authorities for making/taking such damaging claims?
