Actually it doesn't matter whether Moses was pissed that Les was fired and that made up his mind or if he had already made up his mind to go to Alabama.. either way it happened it just emphasizes the point of how hard it is to keep together a recruiting class once the head coach is fired... some recruits actually develop a relationship with the head coach or offensive coordinator and some wonder about whether a new coach will perform or what the offense will look like or even which coaches will be around to start Spring Ball. It doesn't matter if O was the recruiting coordinator, he was a DL coach and not the face of LSU. O was able to maintain a top 10 class... yes he lost some in state recruits... that actually makes what he did even harder to believe... because the kids he did get in large part were not homer kids that grew up loving LSU.. the late additions were out of state kids a lot of who were linked heavily to other Power 5 teams. I think O did a good job of filling needs other than at RB.. That was one of the things we all bitched about was lopsided recruiting classes heavy on the sauce (DB, WR, and RBs) and light on the meat and potatoes...
