And again, we have Indian, we have Korean, just because we dont have 100 Indian restaurants isnt indicative of a lack of ethnic food. And the original question where new orleans should rank for dining?

Dollar for dollar, New Orleans is tough to beat in America.

Do they? I'm certainly not arguing with you. Everytime we hit New Orleans, we stay with the usual circuit plus some recent, newer restaurants (Clancys, Commanders, Herbsaint, Cochon, August, Domenica, Brigtsens, Mr. B's).

I've been wanting to try Peche and Shaya, but haven't been back in a while. I'm aware Shaya is an Israeli restaurant and New Orleans has a thriving Vietnamese scene.

I haven't seen much Thai, Indian, Chinese, TexMex, Korean, Sushi, Ramen, even BBQ since I've been down there. I'm certainly not implying that it doesn't exist, I just haven't come across it. That being said, as a visitor, I haven't really sought it out either.
