Hope he's still lucid and responsive. My ex wife's mom passed from small cell that had metastasized into her brain. It is amazing how quick that can ravage a person. Good luck to you, I'll keep you in. My prayers.

On another note, targeted immunotherapy will be the holy grail of cancer treatment in my lifetime, I think.

He is when he is awake. My grandfather died of the same thing so I remember what the very end is like and my dad is showing early signs of that. His cognitive functions are diminishing as is his equilibrium. Two months ago they did radiation on his brain and a month ago his scans showed no tumors on his brain but I imagine that's changed. They sent him home a month ago for palliative care because he stopped responding to treatment and gave him less than 3 months.
