KAC simply misspoke. She said "massacre". She meant "terrorist". As soon as someone questioned her, she said she misspoke. Simple as that. Had she been reading a teleprompter instead of speaking extemporaneously, she might have said "corpse men" instead. Then it would have been no big deal.

The Obama administration didn't regularly embrace "alternative facts". Had she not been immediately questioned, she would have let the lie stand. It's not even close to the same thing.
