Liar. Nowhere does it state that.
We're entering the "you didn't bother to read what you claim to vehemently support" territory here.
The DHS just suspended all enforcement of the EO, so good guys win again!

If you support Trump's ban, religion.
The ban discriminates on the basis of nationality, no religion. All non-Muslims from those 7 nations were banned as well.
If we're going to have this discussion, let's have an honest one.

Since you jumped that in as a non-sequitur and you don't support Trump's ban, congratulations! You're not being discriminatory at the moment.
Happy?

since you won't answer my questions clarifying your personal attacks on me
1. do you believe countries have the right to regulate who comes in and out of their country?
2. if you do, do you support the government enacting different regulations on different countries with respect to this travel?

No, he never banned any of these countries from coming to the US.
That wasn't the question.

no you're being intentionally vague b/c you don't want to answer simple questions

Since you think this is about religion then tell me how this EO even targeted these specific countries
Trump wanted a Muslim ban, but couched in something that might be considered legal by some, so he used a framework set up by Obama that was intended as a list destined for extra vetting when a European national seeking a visa had traveled to them before applying.
Oh, that's not what you were looking for? Oops.

Iraq.... Yes he did.
Refugees etc. came into the US from Iraq in every month in 2011. Please tell me when this magical 'ban' happened.

To me, this is the takeaway of the Trump Admin so far. His actions have been bad, but the means by which he's gone about them has been atrocious. There is no forethought, no analysis, no consideration...it's all "gut feel" as if the world were one big mediocre action movie...and Trump is Harrison Ford.

I was clearly mistaken and did not realize that you opposed Trump's discriminatory Muslim ban.
Happy?

And your evidence is a loon in a bath robe making an unjustifiable ruling regarding a topic clearly within the presidents purview?

So did that bigot Barack discriminate based on the same list or not?

i'm whatever
what are the exact limits of acceptable discrimination to you?
you cited the "talking point" discrimination, but that means nothing b/c it's so vague
for instance, i believe that we should be allowed to be very discriminatory in our romantic and sexual partners. agree?
for instance, i believe that persons providing services to be allowed to discriminate against people who don't have the money to purchase these services. agree?
for instance, i believe that as consumers, we should be allowed to discriminate on what services and products we wish to buy, as well as the providers of these services and/or products. agree?

That begs the pornography answer. There are some levels of discrimination that are required to run society (no human sacrifices), but aside from that the 14th Amendment is pretty clear.

None of those really fall under the word discrimination as we mean to use it. You're using the definition that means 'distinguish' whereas we're using the definition that means 'unjust or prejudicial treatment of categories of people'.
Agree?

my dear lord. why are you so scared to examine your statements and actually answer questions about them?
by your system, there are literally no objective rules and it's purely subjective. we have 325M views on discrimination. that means that there is no real justification for or against discrimination, b/c it's completely personal and subjective. that means discrimination as a concept has no meaning
quote:
but aside from that the 14th Amendment is pretty clear.
with the way the courts abuse this amendment? no, no it's not
the interpretation of the 14A and the concept of "Substantive due process" has the same issues as above
this also means that you are actively being a bigot against all the niche groups that the courts will add to the list in 40-50 years, because you're not actively defending the interest of these niche groups today. so, how does it feel to be a bigot?

you're wrong and crawfishing

again, you're wrong
2 of those are huge softballs for you that i specifically wrote with you in mind

Objectively, let's treat everyone equally and not discriminate against anyone. There are, at times, exceptions that must be made which are largely subjective as to their need/benefit.
You see the world in black and white? That must be so tiring.

you're wrong and crawfishing
Because words have 2 definitions, and your examples clearly use the one we're not? You're just trying to pretend that your poor excuse for hypotheticals hold up when we both know they don't.
