i mean i don't believe in licensing (even for lawyers) generally in my fantasy land
but in reality, it should be based either off of education (if you have e masters in an area, you get to teach that area) or an objective standard (if you can pass the Praxis 2 in that area, you can automatically teach)

I agree. Too bad that likely will never happen.
edit: I think having a master's in education AND passing the praxis does make someone eligible for certification in LA.

My grandfather has a farmer and high school teacher/principal and he did have a college degree. That was decades ago. (His brother passed the bar exam in Mississippi without going to college too.)
