How do you replace Craig?

While he has gotten some heat on the misses this past cycle, as reported by some as a reason for the dismissal, he has had a very successful recruiting history while at FSU and AU. So not only did we eliminate his recruiting talent, we dismissed our recruiting coordinator.
O has also recruited well, but I want and expect the RC to be at the top of his game. If we expect to lock down the state and compete nationally for blue chip guys, this is a must.
So as your recruiting coordinator, who has had a great history, who do you get to come in to replace that type of gap in your staff?
The new hire seems like a tall order. Not sure this was the right move.

Craig is not the foundation of LSU recruiting. LSU is not going to close the doors because they fired a WR coach. Craig will be fine and LSU will be fine.

How do you replace a guy that was on staff for one season, that struggled with the duties of being RC and was a so so on the field coach? Yes tall order indeed.

He's no where near the asset Frank Wilson was. Apparently when we hired him away from Aubrun, most of their staff wasn't too mad either

These 2 hires are very important for O. After filling the last 2 spots with a GA and a senior it'll be interesting what he does here.

They have actually contacted Memphis' wide receivers coach David Johnson.

There are things that concern me about Coach O. But recruiting is not one of them.

Can Thomas be titled as 'recruiting coordinator' to allow himself to recruit, even if not an on the field coach? Or as the 10th assistant? I wonder if O is thinking along these lines to get AT permanently on the trail in some capacity.
If Pete moves to shadow staff, then we potentially lose the waiver, unless O has something else in mind.

As RC how do you not know that the top receiver from JUCO and a committ does not have the grades and you supposedly find out on NSD. Also thought we had a real good shot at Smith from Amite and he seemed to change over the weekend. Agree he was an asset but somethinng had to happen for him to be let go just that fast.

hmmm how do you replace craig? thats simple. just go out there get someone who can coach, somwthing in 2016 craig could not do with receivers. dupre should have done lot more. who do you replace craig with his recruiting abilities? simple just replace someone who also knows how to recruit something craig could not do to bring in multiple recruits at elite level.

Find a coach that knows how to coach wide receivers. To be honest, I didn't really understand the hire. You get an Auburn quarterback to come teach LSU WR's. IDK man.
