Not only a huge influence on how I write,but a huge influence on what I started listening to.
He caused me to get into bluegrass,Lefty Frizell,Buck Owens and a lot of other things that I probably wouldn't have listened to otherwise.
Also,the way he treats covers..absolutely genius.
I don't know how anybody could achieve more than what he has,and I don't think he has ever sacrificed his musical integrity,just evolved.

He's awesome, and I've always liked him dating back to my high school years. Got away form him for a while, then got introduced to the acoustic.net disc post-college, and that moved him into my forever rotation.

If you haven't checked out that acoustic.net album, do so.

Been a fan ever since he arrived on the scene in the mid 80's. As mentioned about his covers....this is probably my favorite.
