Weird, weird thread last night. I edited my posts and removed myself from it. Something about health insurance and taking away the employer's tax benefit, or making sure the individual was able to receive the same benefit to even the playing field. I pointed some things out. I don't think they liked it. I got told about four semesters of law school. I've been audited twice, and both times owed no additional tax. I suspect you get what you pay for. And sometime in the case of attorneys, where the 90/10 rule applies bigly just as it does in my profession/business, sometimes you pay $450 an hour becuase someone went to Stanford and don't get what you pay for.

i just made a comment about special tax treatment of health care plans and linked to the IRS page discussing it

yeah i said that to iosh as to why i was leaving the thread. i didn't feel like discussing tax law at 11pm

Yeah...a good tax lawyer can get very pricey. $450 is not all that much in that world. Four or five semesters of tax classes does not make an expert. Your experience likely trumps whatever expertise they think they picked up.
