I'm just stating my opinion that I don't give a shite whether or not your mother can afford health insurance. If she couldn't afford health insurance because of being self employed then she should have taken a job with a company that has health insurance.

This is some dumb shite right here. You know there are circumstances that could preclude a person from having a customary full time job, right? What if the only job she could get with a company, that provides insurance, doesn't provide enough income to pay for child care.
The answer to the problem isn't forcing people to take on jobs with employers. What happens when there are layoffs?
