Has anyone seen this when turning on their Fire TV stick before? I hadn't used it in a few months but decided to mess with it Saturday night. At first, turning it on gave me a blank screen. I unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in to the wall then it showed a screen with the Amazon logo, then a Fire TV logo popped on the screen immediately followed by the screen above. So I let it sit for the 10 or so minutes and nothing happened. The stick wasn't responsive to the remote so I even tried swapping the batteries...still nothing. I rebooted several times with no luck. I even left it on overnight to see if it just needed time, but there was no change to the screen.

I Googled the issue and it seems as though it's also a problem on Fire tablets. I tried anything I could find regarding resetting a stick with no luck. Has anyone else seen this issue? If so, any luck getting the stick working again? The stick has never been sideloaded with Kodi or other apps like that. Anything on it was downloaded directly from the Amazon app store FWIW. I have a feeling I'm just going to have to replace this thing.

I've seen that screen when trying to run it using the USB in the tv rather than plugging directly into the wall. The screen would "complete" and then it would cycle right back and do it again. I took it out of the tv and plugged it back in and used the wall power and it worked fine. Try it on a different tv maybe and see what happens.

My stick is about 2 weeks old. Not rooted, but with kodi, and started having issue stuck on optimizing loop, then on reboot loop not even getting that far. I carefully moved it to different tv’s about 15 times before this issue. What fixed the problem for me was unplugging the little HDMI extension that came with the stick. Worked right away plugging directly in to tv without that, and have’nt had that problem since.
