Now break it down even further genius. Black people make up roughly 30% of the population there and where do most crimes happen in Jennings? Oh shite!!! Across the tracks!!! You heard him say it live, why he wants to get away. Damn near everything I said in my OP.

I don't know TE. He's probably a great young man as well as a football player. But your line of argument doesn't pass muster.
If he really wanted to get out of Jennings, then why would he care if he was a fallback plan to us? LSU isn't going to move Jennings farther away. And LSU isn't going to fix the socio-economic conditions in Jennings.
Suggesting our staff (Les or O) was late to the party is just deflection. They're not stupid. They can tell when a prospect simply wants a change in environs. So why would they have pursued a lower rated player who wasn't interested at the expense of a higher rated prospect who showed genuine interest?
