Never said spurrier was a bad coach nor did I say that a coach should never pull a starter. What I said was it's a horrible trait for a coach to pull a player FOR ONE BAD PLAY (which I highly doubt the OBC did). If a kid thinks his first mistake will get him benched then he will play tight and never take a chance for fear of getting benched. The results are that your QB holds on to the ball to long and even delivers the open throws late.

CLM didn't bench his QBs but he did bench the passing game as a whole the second a QB made a mistake and the results are what we've had the last 10 years. You get players like Anthony Jennings who refuse to throw the ball or you get a gunslinger like Brandon Harris who completely regresses and shits the bed.

On this we can agree for the most part. The NC game...Lee should have had a legit shot to see what he could do. There was too much on the line to not try something different. Jennings had a terrible year and Harris never sniffed the field following the Auburn game where he should have been pulled earlier rather than be ruined. I see your point on the ole ball coach but you can't argue with his quarterbacks play as a whole (Wuerful, Palmer etc...), the guy knew how to get the most out of his quarterbacks and there is no question about it as this is what he is known for.
