Yeah, let's lay off as much people as humanly possible to maintain the upper middle to upper class level of living all so we can get a bit more bang for our buck, and frick 3/4 of the country. That'd work out great.

If you consider an IPhone and a flat screen TV upper class, then you might be right. We apparently have a huge upper class that you can tell to suck it up when they can no longer afford those two luxury items. After all, it's for the good of the teamsters who miss their pensions.
