Married Men: Your Opinion

Long time buddy of mine just found out that after six years of being together (1 and a half) married, his wife admitted to cheating while they first started dating. He was upset due to trust issues.
She would screw the guy during the week and when he went to visit screw him on the weekend.
Keep in mind the first 2yrs was long distance. He moved to her city had a kid got married and he found out through her ex what happened. for those 6yrs the wife denied it any time it was brought up then finally told him the truth. How serious is this and can he trust her?
I say no to trust but since it happened before marriage not a big deal.
