i think I've read before that the "correct" answer is supposed to be your mother because you can get a new best friend and you can remarry, but you only have one mother (but the father was not part of the original hypothetical that is based on some old Chinese test that was part of a personality test or something).

That being said, I would choose the wife and mother of my child since my child can only have one mother.
