What do you consider Rush Limbaugh? He is extreme, but he also had, and still has, a very popular radio show. He referred to her looks and had a track of dogs barking. She was 12 or 13 at the time.
As for the Obamas, an aide for a Republican representative from Tennessee(Fincher I think, going off memory) chided the way they dressed in an insulting manner.
Perhaps "nasty" is a misnomer on the latter. I have seen many conservatives not in the media or entertainment industry make nasty comments about them though.
