I'm a proud southerner and I will belch out fire and fury about the war of northern aggression and how Lincoln was a piece of shite.

But this sir and mam crap is definitely one southern thing that I'm glad I was not raised on.

There are so many people in this thread that refuse to understand that it does not mean anything if you don't use sir and mam towards other adults or for your kids. The rest of the country outside the south does not use it and they're not worth more or less than we are because of that.
