Why didn't the cops shoot that piece of shite motherfricker?
Or just kick him into the river?
Are we so fricking PC that cops have to treat murderers, of women and police no less, so delicately?

Because in America we don't shoot people for no reason without cause or due process.
Cops are law enforcement.
Not executioners.

Im thinking because they had video cameras running. The perp was still armed and dangerous on the bridge. Perp had killed one civilian and one police victim. I'm sure he was considered armed and dangerous. I'm not sure how you could safely be around the guy to negotiate. The police showed a hell of a lot of restraint.
