Why would the country be at war with itself if one lunatic happened to penetrate security (or maybe a CIA or Secret Service person gone rogue) and take out the new President?? That makes no sense... if anything, it would probably bring the country together.

Secret Service, maybe not mass chaos, but CIA, no fricking way. 3/4 of the nation will think that the CIA as a whole had him killed, and the other 1/4 are stupid. It would be fires in the street if that were to happen.
