She was really bad IMO, and clearly isn't qualified, but you are probably asking the wrong board for this.

I agree. The way should would not answer Tim Kaine's questions was very telling. He asked several questions that started with "I believe..." and ended with, "Do you agree or disagree?". She couldn't even state if she agreed with him or not.

You have to ask, why could she not answer if she agrees with, of all people, Tim Kaine? The reason is simple -- if she did not agree, she would be hit with, "please provide your reasons for disagreement". It is abundantly clear that she is not prepared for her role in the Federal Govt.

Whether her job is to dismantle the Dept of Education or not, she should still be able to communicate her beliefs and values during a Senate Confirmation Hearing.

I think Trump could have done better with this nomination.

Out of all the nominees she's clearly the least prepared.

I think some Dems will slam some nominees solely because Trump nominated them, but this one IMO is the opposite. I don't think you can really defend this one unless your sole theory is just to trust Trump.

Seriously? That rude prick wouldn't let her provide an explanation for her answers. He would ask a question that is not fully answerable in a yes or no form and then demand a yes or no answer. He tried to bully her and she handled herself very well under the argumentative interrogation style questioning.
