I just installed 600 ft.² of flooring in my home. It was a pain in the arse and I hurt like hell for two weeks after, but it was well worth the $8000 that I saved.

NO way I am able to do that. Not because I wouldn't want to, but because I would screw it up.

My wife tells me that I have trouble driving a nail through sheetrock.

$8K?!?!? Is that due to the recent flooding and shortage of laborers?

I did two rooms of cheap laminate, but easy to cut and install, years ago. I swore I'd never do floors myself again. I take that back. I shall suck it up and get some good knee pads and tools.
