I know those aren't legal caliber for deer...BB doesnt have a gun season on deer, archery only.

I think they could simplify crap a little more. I'm sure we're not as bad as some states but damn, this shouldn't be that hard.

Just bring the pistol. When you're walking, put it on your hip. When you're getting close to the truck, stop and put it in your bag. I have this friend that does it every time he hunts and he only hunts wma's. It's a keltec pmr 30, 22 mag.
