re: Compass Recommendation

I'm going to have to semi-retract my recommendation. I used my Silva 5-6 days a week, every week, for years without a hiccup. Evidently letting them sit after that much use causes air bubbles (no idea why, but that's what's reported). They exchange them for free, so I will get another one, but I am going to either order a Ranger from Sweden or get a Suunto MC-2G
