Not a Colorado resident as I am active duty. Any online purchase automatically gets sales tax taken to ship to my home. Don't worry about us tax paying folks....we will keep this country going.

It's not about which are ok to break and which aren't. It's about the severity of the offense. Does forgetting to include sales tax on a pair of headphones = violating immigration law?

Obviously conservatives have to be super careful when it comes to taxes because the IRS targets them.

Get caught avoiding sales tax, pay sales tax.

Get caught illegally entering the United States, be removed from the United States.

How about that?

Not any. Only those businesses which have a physical presence in the taxing state collect sales tax for that state.

So you don't think criminal penalties should be applied to criminals?

You are retarded. You used amazon as an example. Amazon takes fricking sales tax out for the state of Colorado. My mind was made up when I joined the military from another state. Don't speak of that which you do not know kid.

Let's see.

Illegal entry is punishable by up to 6 months in prison.

Intentional failure to pay a tax due in Louisiana is punishable by up to 1 year in prison, or 2 if the tax owed exceeds 1 grand.

So its OK to break the laws with the more severe penalties is what you are saying?

We are talking about the Louisiana Department of Revenue, special snowflake.

That is because they have part of their physical business in Colorado.

I used Amazon as an example, yes, but do I need to inform you that there are other online retailers without a physical piece of their business in Colorado or can you figure that one out yourself?
