I just recently moved into the Commerce building downtown and walk around alot. I would say they're only about 20 places. Davis Rhorer says 65.
What say you?

As someone who works downtown, I'd say you're way low. With that said, it depends on how you define "downtown" and "restaurant".

I would certainly trim quite a few off list, but considering it starts at 78, 65 doesn't sound unreasonable.

Also, what prompted such a specific question?

65 sounds very high. That has to be including surrounding areas.

If you're including weekday lunch places 65 is probably right. If you're looking for dinner on a Sunday though you're still kinda screwed.

Was down there earlier and was surprised Magpie didn't open today, figured the marathon folks would represent thousands of their target demographic.

How is that Commerce building? Turn out ok? I went through the building a year before they gutted it.
