I bought 4 tickets to the Circus here in Birmingham, AL just a few days ago - I was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive the tix were

Let us know how much you spend when you get in the door....they will give you tickets to get in the door to buy $20 bags of cotton candy.

I took my little girl to a Ringling Brothers show about 2 years ago and we spent about $300 for the 4 of us (my Son was 15 at the time so all he did was eat peanuts and drink cokes...at about %8 a pop!!!) after getting free tickets...ring side seats....because we showed up before the first night to see the elephants. They are experts at parting a fool and his money...not as good as Disney (those frickers might as well get your PIN and all of your passwords for as little as they will leave with you LOL).

I have always hated circuses and parades....I don't think Ringling and Brothers is a victim of animal rights activists as much as a victim of doing the same shite for 147 years....it was played in the 70's....my little girl couldn't have been less interested in the show...so the elephants stood on one another and the motorcycles went round and round inside a ball....have you seen YouTube, Netflix, or a video game in the last 20 years???? The only way the circus can compete with that shite is if the lions get out and eat all the rich fricks in the first couple of rows...otherwise todays kids just ain't interested....

Major League Baseball is the next to go....they have to have playgrounds in the stadium now to keep kids remotely interested and 99% of the baseball fans in the stands are texting and playing candy crush while the game is going on....times are changing.....circuses are a thing of the past.....

and the difference between that and a $5 small coke at the movies?

or a $12 slice of pizza at a Falcons or Saints game?

get real - that is the way it is at ANY entertainment or travel venue & has been that way my whole life...

you know that snacks and drinks are outrageous, it's the primary way they make money (the show AND the venue)

maybe so

but it's still sad

ETA - I am expecting to spend roughly $80 - $150

me, the wife, 2 kids (9 & 6) - between snacks & bullshite souvenirs - will probably loosen up and spend more than I normally would since this will be the last show...
