Flynn to D Byrd - auburn 2007.
Honorable Mention:
Hester's 4th down conversions and TD vs UF.
Chad Jones forced fumble vs Bama, that same year.
and Zenon's pick six against Tenn in the SECCG, all the same year.
2007 was fun.

No doubt a lot of greaqt ones. But for "clutch" plays, in 1973 at the fairgrounds stadium in Columbia S.C., Mike Miley, 4th and 10, falling to the ground...11 yards to sustain a drive. LSU 33-29
Don't neglect J Lee against Bama, 3rd and 13, 4th and 13. When it counted.

Cannon run & subsequent goal line stand - i was there in student section,
Pete scoring 70 points as freshman - was there (against Tennessee I think),
Fake field goal by Flynn against So. Carolina; biggest surprise & ZAPPED "the ole ball coach"

Morris Claiborne kickoff return vs WVU. They're stadium was going crazy after they drove and scored. Felt like the momentum was all their way

It was 3rd down, deep in our territory, late in the 4th qtr, Bama had momentum, and time on the clock. Not sure if Lee had taken a snap all day long. JJ (who played really well that day) got hurt. In comes Lee and boom - Reuben does the rest.
Glad you mentioned this one.

I've been at Tiger Stadium games since 1960. I didn't get to see Cannon's run, 1959, so that's out. The best single play in terms of athletic astonishment and critical event of the game was Eric Reid's interception of Marquis Mays's pass at Tuscaloosa in 2011. It was followed by Wing's 75 yd punt that Mays didn't field. Something went out of the Alabama crowd, and the Alabama team, at that point. Reid's play came, like Cannon's, with 11 minutes to go, and it profoundly changed the nature of the game so that LSU prevailed.

Actually present: Bert Jones to Brad Davis as time expired to beat OM. Was sitting in direct line with the goal line, but still couldn't be sure he got in as he fell.
