I don't know how accurate this is, but here is a discussion regarding the estimated length of time it takes professionals to build a house. A number of commenters with houses similar her size (3500 square feet) had an estimate from 6 to 9 months. Building Time Estimates
So she able to do that the same length of time as professionals? So while professionals probably have more labor, considerable mir to experience, aren't learning on the job, and are less likely to make errors that require time consuming repeats, they still can only complete projects in about the same time.
Not to mention the 3 older children were often in school (so she had to work alone with a 2 year old), plus all of the work it takes to raise a family.
And she mentions coworker so did she have a job then too?
Finally, given that she moved in March, then they roughly worked from the beginning of May 2008 through the end of February 2009. Well there was no shortage of days with signicant lengths of time with precipitation, which would only delay the process.

It just doesn't seem to be close to plausible.
