Would've been more believable if it wasn't a giant brick house. No chance they laid those bricks themselves
Also no way I believe they did the plumbing and wiring with no experience
In reality they might've put up some drywall, maybe some framing. Probably just some minor non complicated stuff and they felt so accomplished they started telling people they built their own house and just ran with it and kept exaggerating

I built homes.
If it was a small single story house I could possibly believe it.
That house it is a far stretch to believe it.
She might have had friends who were plumbers, framers, masons, and electricians do the majority of the work.

The saddest part is the number of people that believe a poor broken family built a 2 story house in 9 months by simply rolling up their sleeves and watching some videos.
Sadly she will make a ton of money selling books to people who do not have enough sense to see the bullshite. God damn this makes me sad.
