Love the area but this has really shaken me as a family-man looking to move back to the area after a decade away.

The only way it gets better is if people who care about the area stay or come back. That said, I've lived here nearly my whole life and never had a single problem. Not one. I moved into Jefferson place from 2009 to 2011, my car was broken into three times. It's mostly a matter of perception. I feel midcity is for the most the most part just as safe as old goodwood and webb.

Lived there for a couple years in 06-08. I want to move back. But a BRPD division allocated to the area and funded by business and residential property tax may work to actually reduce crime and comfort potential residents. Put it to a vote!
