Many of my friends are big on the mid city thing. Growing up here I know there is too much nearby danger for that place to really work.

I know a sweet, tiny girl that was attacked with a gdamn hammer at the drugstore on the corner of Acadian and government.

I know I know crime happens everywhere.

It is one thing when the animals are killing each other, I really don't give two fricks if two multi convicted felons shoot each other during a drug deal, but when they start shooting taxpayers something needs to be done. If a guy can't take his wife and kid to eat a steak without getting shot it is bad.

There used to always be a security guard on duty at the CVS in Westmoreland. The CVS on the corner of Gardere and Burbank doesn't have a guard if that tells you what CVS thinks of the Government street area.
