TBH I never heard about this bc I've been in constant full body ecstasy since the game ended last night.

They're both black - that explains it

There were threads on it yesterday, I believe. I learned about it here. Then I read how the other cop was killed in pursuit of the perp.

So try searching before you call everyone racist.

I certainly hope you aren't another one of "those" newbies. We already have enough Sharptons on this board.

I read about that wildlife officer. Amazing that he still has movement in all extremities after getting shot in the head

The thing that saved his life was that he called for back up before he was shot. So he was only down for minutes instead of hours.

Freddie Gray would seem to disprove this

To a degree - I'll concede this was somewhat of a anomaly.

But, my larger point is they don't really care about "Black Lives" - only if they can get public opinion riled up for a demonstration (or a riot).

It seems irrelevant if the cops are black, their supervisors are black, the mayor is black, etc. And I don't blindly support the cops - a lot of cops are assholes. The cop in North Charleston crossed a bunch of lines. But, I think the kneejerk reaction from the other side that the cop is instantly wrong, based on initial statements (Michael Brown's hands were not up, he fought with the cop and tried to disarm him - I'll just go ahead and say it - it's better that a gentleman like him lost that particularly engagement) without doing an analysis of all the facts.

Even as flawed as George Zimmerman obviously is - BLM got involved in that case that had no state actor.
