Remember when the owner of Shady's got his safe stolen and he offered a $50,000 no-questions-asked reward for its return?
Always wondered what was in that safe.
Well it started life as a really cool billiards bar. No one went.

I think a legitimate bar/restaurant could do well there, something with a hook or good gimmick. ... Something like barcadia would work there maybe, but that space and location is really best suited for a commercial enterprise, maybe a kinkos type operation.

I went pretty often when it was Ricochet. Only once when it was Shadys. Watched people play beer pong, including drinking the cup with the ball in it, after it rolled around on that nasty sticky floor.

Not really true. It lasted a long time as Ricochets with 16 tables then they downsized to 8 tables and the laundry next door. Still went for awhile with 8 tables but eventually they focused on the Sherwood spot.
Playing pool and drinking is not cheap compared to Tigerland and whatnot, especially for college kids. Jack (the owner) just couldn't justify it anymore, but it had a very good run. Better than anything that's followed it
