Nice to see United keeping the pedal to the floor. Hopefully Atlanta (and other franchises willing to spend like both LA teams, Seattle, Toronto, etc.) can push the league to loosen up the roster rules significantly in the coming years.
Also, hiring Tata looks better and better.

We've traded Kenwyne Jones (retiring), Alex Tambakis, and our 2021 4th round draft pick to SKC for Kevin Oliveira, Tyler Pasher, and SKC's 2018 2nd round pick.

Reports that Venezuelan fullback José Hernández is heading to Atlanta to add to our defensive depth and to our number of handsome South Americans LINK

To pile onto my previous reporting earlier, I'm hearing that a deal between Atlanta and Portland for Darlington Nagbe would involve somewhere around $1.8 million in allocation money. Massive deal.
Posted on 12/11/17 at 4:17 pm to pvilleguru
Adding to the Nagbe reports: Sources tell me he asked for raise to $1m per year from $550k during the season. Portland balked at the price, started exploring trade options once Porter left.

That looks pretty sweet! What MLS teams could compete with that? Toronto I guess, but anyone else?

Thoughts on new details? Portland will reportedly receive $750,000 in general allocation money, $300,000 in targeted allocation money, and an additional $500,000-$600,000 in incentive-based compensation.
#ATLUTD will also receive defender Gbenga Arokoyo.

I imagine Arokoyo will end up with the USL team.
