When goose hunting last week I was using 3" BB and I would watch the bird take a hit and recuperate and fly off like nothing happened. The steel couldnt penetrate anything

Seen that happen with 3.5" BB's too. They're tough.

Like other said, lead and shoot for the head on crossing/passing shots. If straight up shoot at the wing to bring them down. Instead of squaring up on them, I shoot the armpit, where the wing meets the body. Still lead them, but just get a little left or right of center.

Should have used 3 1/2" and shot them in the head, baw. I saw BIL had to clean up for y'all. (Chase)

We shot a few last weekend with 3" 3's. Shot 2 specks stone dead and winged 2 snows. Dogs had a blast with them. These birds were not decoying as we were setup for ducks and didnt have any goose decoys out.
