Minnesota's division is the weaker of the two in the Big 10...

They're both in the same division...? Am I missing something?

The Western Division is much weaker than the East, making it far more feasible to win a Division title when you don't always have to play Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan State every season.

Ever since the Big Ten went to geographic divisions, the East has won every title game (Ohio State in 2014, Michigan State in 2015, Penn State in 2016)
