re: Wanna get really pissed off: LSU OL grades out best unit on Pro football focus

Anybody who publishes that LSU had the best OL in college football has lost all credibility they may have had. I love LSU football, but I'm also realistic too! We didn't even have the best OL in the west, much less college football. Some people will print anything to sale a story. Like politics, you can spend numbers however you want to make your point, but the film doesn't lie!

Ha ha. You calling a tv broadcast film is laughable. The people at pro football are respected in their professions. This isnt bleacher report.
The guys at pro football watch more film in a week than you do all year. They buy and watch the all 22 film. They dont get drunk amd watch a tv broadcast.
Its also not just pro football. We had the most all sec olineman. We had a remington award finalist.
The notion that your tv broadcast analysis somehow outweighs people that paid to watch football film is laughable at best and is narcissistic.
Was our line perfect? Hell no.
But if you actually believe that lsu's oline is not one of the best in the country it can only mean you dont watch other teams with the bias you watch lsu football with.

Why would this piss anyone off?

Because we have the worst and most football ignorant fans on this site.
There were lsu posters mad that we had 3 all sec olineman when the all sec teams came out.
Ive never seen a fan base more willing to shite on its players like lsu fans.
Ethan Pocic was a remington award finalist and people repeatedly call him a horrible center and lineman.

Because this is the rant, where logic went out the window years ago, unfortunately. Now it is just trolling and other team's fans that log in with LSU user names.
Reality is our OL was great. Actually better than last year, which is saying a lot. The problem has been the offensive scheme.
We lost to teams like Auburn, Wisc and Bama due to scheme. Nothing creative about it at all. Miles and CC were responsible for Wisc and AU.
Orgeron and SE were responsible for Bama. UF was all on the skill positions due to TOs and inability to go the proper direction on called plays.
Reality is that this team was good enough to go 11-1, with a 6-3 or 6-5 loss against Bama (if the game was officiated correctly). That would have been good enough for the Sugar Bowl and a beat down of Big Game Bob and crew a few days ago.
As usual, maybe next year.

Yeah a zone blocking scheme doesnt work well without good tackles and our only good tackle was playing center

Just my opinion but, I'm pretty sure that the folks at pro football focus may know just a tad bit more about football then us goons. Just a gut feeling there.lol. we've got about 20 Vince lombardis on the rant..if you know thAt much about the offensive line position then maybe you can call them up and see if you can take over the operation..the games in question were against some of the best d- lines in college football. If you would look at that you would see that our o line faired pretty much the same if not better then the other opponents lines against Therese teama then most lines did against wisconsin and bama

the eye test says they sucked...especially against bama, auburn, and wisconsin
Imagine that, we sucked against those teams, while everyone else just ran all over then and gAve up no sacks...bama got the ball ran down there throat all year, so we should have been able to do the same....get real

Our OL is better than the "experts" on here understand

dumbest thing i've heard in a while. the oline was average at best, and completely SUCKED in multiple games.

That's complete and total nonsense of the highest degree!
Do they actually attend or watch ANY LSU games?
OL is the weakest area of the team and the one that needs the most improvement moving forward. (If the goal is to beat Rammer Jammer and win the SEC West)
Everything else is not that far off, but the OL is
