Feels like something is missing.

Why are they capped at $25mil that they can make on this game?

1. They have the money to do it.
2. They are trying to maintain a foothold in the NFL and deny other networks.
3. They need to remain a must-have cable option to rake in all of those subscriptions fees throughout the year.

One step back, several billion steps forward.

It's been gone over many times here. They greatly overpaid for pretty much every single deal w/a pro sports league b/c they (A) wanted to cock block the other sports channels and (B) b/c they idiotically assumed cable/sat subs would keep growing instead of getting slashed by cord cutters who DGAF about sports.
