I also wonder if any Christmas decorations will be up that early in the season?

All the Christmas decorations should be up by the end of your trip. I say this because the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party should start on or near 7 November (that's when it started in 2016, and it started on 8 November in 2015). You'd have to check back closer to that time to see when the first party is. If it falls within your dates, then all the decorations should be up. I'm almost positive Disney World did the entire switch from Halloween to Christmas decorations last year on either 2 or 3 November (in one night).

Would you avoid this or not worry about it? its really the only dates that work for us but im scared of the large crowds due to this.

The Food and Wine Festival will be crowded regardless, and sometimes insanely crowded. But it will still be a good time as long as you realize the crowds will be there. Don't let those crowds deter you.

ok, Davids DVC has Boardwalk villas for 1088 for deluxe studio for 6 nights. not bad

If that is available right now, book it and don't look back. And I mean book it right now.

ok thanks. now trying to decide which week to go

week of Nov 2-9th or 9th-16th

pros for the Nov 2 week- Earlier in month, have plenty of time to get back in routine before the mad holiday season

pros for the Nov 9th week- avoid the RunDisney half marathon on the Nov 3rd weekend. All the Christmas lights and decorations will be up. Negative is that we would get back with only a few days to get house ready for Thanksgiving week

decisions, decisions. wonder what the crowd difference will be
