But repealing and delaying the repeal is cowardly. Let's hope this election doesn't have the consequences of denying millions of Americans access to healthcare, and subsequently killing thousands - all because Republicans are cowards.
there is that liberal fear mongering we have all come to love.

Why is there still 30+ Million uninsured?
Every state didn't expand Medicaid, and the penalty for not having insurance isn't particularly harsh (e.g. only comes out of a tax refund).
Not a very hard situation to understand.

Delaying when it takes effect allows a transition to the new system.
There won't be a transition, because nobody knows what Republicans want to transition TO. Given that uncertainty, there's no reason for anyone to think the current system (ACA / exchanges) will endure, so why waste time/effort/money into entering them?
There's no legal way they can revoke health insurance from those who have already purchased policies for 2017, so that's not what we're talking about.

Chuck Schumer put it best earlier, "they're like the dog that caught the bus." The GOP has no idea what to do with healthcare now that it's theirs to fix. Repeal and?

We've got to repeal it to find out what replaces it

You sure about that?
I know Tom Price has had a bill in the House for the last 4-5 years, several bills were passed by both houses and sent to barry only to be vetoed.
Trump has had his plan on his website for a while.
The Congress, both GOP and Dems, have been trying overturn a law passed way back in the 1940s, the mccarran ferguson act of 1945.
Its basically given a huge anti-trust exemption to the big boys.+
This has been a huge push by Trump and the GOP.
Get rid of that, and the competition opens up

I agree repeal it now. Doesn't need to be replaced with anything except a chainsaw destroying all the red tape

Tom Prices bill, SINCE July 30, 2009:
Deals with a LOT of issues.
quote:
Sec. 101. Refundable tax credit for health insurance costs of low-income individuals.
Sec. 102. Advance payment of credit as premium payment for qualified health insurance.
Sec. 103. Election of tax credit instead of alternative government or group plan benefits.
Sec. 104. Deduction for qualified health insurance costs of individuals.
Sec. 105. Limitation on abortion funding.
Sec. 106. Non-discrimination on abortion and respect for rights of conscience.
Sec. 107. Equal employer contribution rule to promote choice.
Sec. 108. Limitations on State restrictions on employer auto-enrollment.
Sec. 109. Credit for small employers adopting auto-enrollment and defined contribution options.
Sec. 110. Require employers to disclose amounts paid for employer-provided health plan coverage.
Sec. 111. HSA modifications and clarifications.

None of those bills were serious attempts at health reform that would lower costs for any Americans (except perhaps the rich, by repealing taxes) - all they were were straight-up repeals of the ACA with no thought to the consequences.
