He was a pilot, he passed away while flying his T6 Texan during an airshow at the Lafayette airport.
If I'm not mistaken, he invented a tree cutting saw that hangs below a helicopter and cut power line rightaways

There is a video of the accident around. He was a stunt pilot for years. Very sad accident. I think the family had moved back to Baton Rouge by then. Summer 1996 I think.

I heard similar. At least that he and his team were involved with a safety feature for the device.

I was at that airshow. Really sad. As hot as she is I cant see her on tv without being reminded of her father.
