I've been dealing with a stomach virus since NY Eve so thanks tdeucen, sisyphus, and dwag for the help 
I have no idea where you are looking on southwest's site, but mardi gras is tues feb 28th this year and it's nowhere near $600 one way. It's $170 on either the morning or evening nonstops on Thursday, Feb 23rd and $138 on the evening nonstop on Tuesday, Feb 28th. Grand total of $308
