Louisville doesn't have close to the talent Lsu had....

Anyone who wanted Petrino after the dumpster fire he left in Arkansas is a little short sighted.
Good coach, but and a-hole and he'd be hard to root for.
He wouldn't recruit in the SEC either and that wouldn't cut it.
BUT to judge Petrino on one game as a coach is also silly. He's still a very good coach. He will stay nationally relevant.
This was a very important game for Orgeron and it was a success. Again, though, to judge Orgeron after one game is a little silly. Coaching should be taken as a whole. Look at his recruiting, his planning, his preparation, his ability to schedule/manage a team and staff.
So far, in my humble opinion, Orgeron is doing a great job. His management and willingness to put together a strong staff is second to none in the country. People, and more importantly, coaches all over the country love the guy and are willing to help him succeed. This will bode well for us. You pull Petrino here and not many would want to work for him.

He's just a terrible person and has left on bad terms in several places now. I usually don't care about that but it's too much with him

Nor do they have the talent Florida State has... how'd that go ?

Louisville has the Heisman winning quarterback and one of the most prolific offenses of any level of football. They were also #13 nationally.

And they lost to Kentucky.

And Coach O's boys beat the ever-living crap out of that team.
Your point again?

This is getting ridiculous. There really wasn't a large "push" by fans for Petrino. There were supporters of the idea but it was never an O vs. Petrino amongst the fans. If O gets the chance & beats Herman or Fisher gloat away.

i not judging petrino on one game. umm im judging petrino all season. im not judging coach O on one game. im judging all season under coach O. glad aleva didnt go after petrino. after the showing with jimbo fisher and florida state. am very glad aleva and fisher didnt come to an agreement. lsu did not look to hard for a replacement. im my opinion coach O may not have been the best hire for lsu but he was the best hire out of names mentioned that lsu was after.

Petrino with our players vs O with Louisville players.

Honestly, I wasn't unhappy that we hired Orgeron. I was unhappy with the way the hire was handled by Alleva.
He was in a tough spot, for sure, but he let a few big names publicly turn us down. It didn't look good for him or our school. He shouldn't have let that happen. But oh well. Hope it all works out.

I found it interesting that several defensive players stated that they saw nothing from UL's offense that they hadn't prepared for.
Did Petrino not have anything new in his game plan designed specifically for LSU's defense?

As I recall, TigerinDunbarton is a big Petrino fan. He was definitely pushing his name on the Coaching Changes Board. Backpeddaling now, I see.
This bowl loss is just par for the course for Bobby P. He's all about plastic points and meaningless wins and stats. The trophy case is still light, and it ALWAYS will be. Any time he has a shot to win something of substance, he WILL frick it up. There are plenty of examples. His one BCS game at Arkansas vs OSU (under Tressel, not Meyer). Getting crushed by LSU in 2011 after getting up 10-0 with a West Title on the line. A shot at an ACC Title Game and playoff shot with a Heisman Trophy winner this year. He will NEVER win big ANYWHERE.

Two collegiate football coaches are to be avoided like the plague - Bobby Patrino and Lane Kiffin. (Not necessarily in that order)

I feel like it's the same person with different accounts that keeps making these threads about anti Orgeron fans. Just ridiculous.

Didn't want Petrino.
Dude got his arse beat by his mistress's boyfriend.
Handle your business, Bobby (Hank Hill voice).
