Still waiting for the reply if SCS men's club dues are part of the annual school dues....? Hence such the large membership..

I know everyone is talking about beer and food at men's club meetings, but who doesn't...

At SFX 1st yearly meeting we usually have steaks and jambalaya.
Gumbo cookoff in October..
Fried Turkeys and grilled oysters in November..
Christmas party at Oscars in December...

Our last meeting in May we usually have steaks and boiled shrimp...

I answered you early in the thread. The dues are now part of the tuition fees, but it's some stupid small amount. They had just as many members showing up at meetings before dues were included.

It's just a large school with a very involved group of parents. Hell, we probably have 25-30 very active men that don't have kids there anymore. Some of them are in their 60's and 70's.

Ya'll's menu sounds a lot like our set up. 7 meetings a year and all have good food and lots of beer. They raffle off a bottle of liquor and do a 50/50 at every meeting.

Some of these principals and priest at some place don't quite get the concept about giving people an incentive to show up and want to volunteer. Our lives are busy, but getting together with the men to have some fun gets them out to volunteer and the many fundraising events throughout the year. They love our $$$ we raise at the big events such as the jazzfest beer booth, the crawfish cook-off, and fish fries. And they damn sure want us there to fix flower beds, paint the playground, clean buildings, etc etc. Make it fun.
